I approached indigo pa about a guardianship application for my nephew. Sharon explained every step of the process before we started. The court hearing went smoothly and I felt prepared throughout. I appreciated that she never made the situation feel transactional — there was a genuine understanding of the weight of what we were doing.

Used their tax dispute service when LHDN raised my assessment unexpectedly. Ahmad reviewed the numbers carefully and filed a well-argued appeal. The timeline was longer than I expected — about five months — but he kept me updated along the way. The outcome was favourable and I felt the fee was fair for the work done.

We needed the e-commerce compliance package for our online skincare store. Dinesh was practical and thorough — he flagged issues in our existing terms that we hadn't even considered. The final documents were clear and the compliance checklist has been useful for ongoing reference. Good value overall.

My company received an additional assessment from LHDN that we believed was incorrect. Ahmad took the time to go through every line item and built a strong case. The negotiation process required patience, but the end result was a significantly reduced amount. I wish the whole thing had moved a bit faster, but I understand that is partly the system.

Applied to become guardian for my late sister's children. It was an emotional and complicated time. Sharon handled everything with real sensitivity and kept the legal process clear so I could focus on the children. The court hearing was well-prepared and the order was granted. I cannot say enough about how carefully they managed this.

As a tech startup founder, I needed someone who understood e-commerce law and also understood how online businesses actually work. Dinesh clearly had that background. The compliance package was delivered in about three weeks and the documents were practical, not just legal boilerplate. Recommended for online businesses in Malaysia.

Client Journeys

The Challenge

A small manufacturing company in Selangor received an additional assessment from LHDN amounting to MYR 280,000 in alleged underpaid corporate tax. The business owners believed the assessment contained errors in how their capital allowances were calculated.

Our Approach

We reviewed the assessment in detail, identified three specific calculation errors, and prepared a notice of appeal with supporting documentation. The matter was brought before the Special Commissioners, where we presented a systematic analysis of the capital allowance provisions under the Income Tax Act 1967.

The Outcome

The appeal was heard over two sessions across four months. The Special Commissioners found in our client's favour on two of the three disputed items, reducing the additional assessment by approximately 72%. The remaining amount was settled through negotiation with LHDN.

The Challenge

An aunt in Kuala Lumpur needed to apply for legal guardianship of her two young nieces after both parents passed away in an accident. Time was a factor as the children's schooling and healthcare decisions required a legal guardian.

Our Approach

We assessed the aunt's eligibility, prepared the court application along with supporting affidavits from family members and the children's school. We coordinated with the Welfare Department and prepared the client thoroughly for the hearing, including what questions the court might ask.

The Outcome

The guardianship order was granted within three months of filing. The court was satisfied with the thoroughness of the application and the supporting evidence. The aunt has since been able to make schooling and medical decisions for the children without further legal obstacles.

The Challenge

A growing online fashion retailer based in Penang wanted to expand its operations but was concerned about compliance with Malaysian consumer protection and data privacy laws. Their existing website terms had been copied from a foreign template and were not suited to Malaysian regulations.

Our Approach

We conducted a full compliance review of their website, identified gaps in their privacy policy, return policy, and electronic transaction disclosures. We drafted a complete set of legal documents tailored to their business model and the requirements of the PDPA, Consumer Protection Act, and Electronic Commerce Act.

The Outcome

The full document set was delivered within three weeks. The retailer now operates with confidence that their legal framework meets Malaysian regulatory requirements. The compliance checklist continues to serve as a reference point for their operations team when adding new product lines.
